Answers

Where and how long are your assignments? (Top)
Platinum Select is a nationwide staffing agency with contracted hospitals stretching from Hawaii to Florida. Notify your recruiter of your preferred area, and he/she will do their best to place you. Our contract assignments vary in length - from one week to one year. Simply let your recruiter know the length of a contract you prefer.
Do you provide permanent placements? (Top)
Yes. Please contact your recruiter for further assistance.
If I signed a contract with your agency would I be considered a 1099 independent contractor or a W2 employee? (Top)
You are considered a W2 employee with Platinum Select.
Do you have direct deposit, and if so, how soon can I get it set up? (Top)
Checks may be sent by regular mail, Fed Ex or direct deposit. Mail us a completed direct deposit form and a voided check before the first day of your assignment. We then can have you set up on direct deposit in time for your first check.
Can you keep me working continuously? (Top)
This will depend on your flexibility. For the most part, we can keep you working for an indefinite amount of time if you are flexible on location and shift. However, if you are specific about working only certain shifts or regions, this may limit your possibilities.
What if I get to the assignment and I don't like it? (Top)
We will work hard to find a solution for any problem that arises. From lodging to management problems, we will do everything we can to make the situation better for you.
How will I know if my lodging is safe and up to my liking? (Top)
We contract with specific hotel chains in each area of the country. Before placing you in any corporate housing / apartments, we always offer to let you stay at one of the local hotel chains, giving you a chance to see the facilities. Some areas do not have corporate housing, so we will always try to place you in a safe, extended-stay hotel (one that has been researched before you are sent to an assignment). If for any reason you are not satisfied with your lodging, just let us know. We will be happy to find something else in the area for you.
How long are your assignments? (Top)
Assignments vary in length. We try to be as flexible and accommodating with your schedule as possible. Typically, assignments last between 4-13 weeks in length.
How often do you pay? (Top)
Our pay periods run Monday through Sunday and our payroll goes out weekly. We offer direct deposit and express mail services.
Can I reach my recruiter at any time if I have an emergency? (Top)
During normal business hours, you will be able to speak directly with your recruiter. Should your recruiter not be available, someone will attempt to assist you before offering your recruiter's voicemail. If you call after hours and it is an emergency, an on-call recruiter will assist you.

What is your corrective process for a professional that is unmanageable or not performing up to our level of need? (Top)
Contractors are immediately contacted after a recruiter receives notification from a client that there is a problem or issue that requires attention. The contractor is counseled and instructed as to what is required to complete the assignment. The client is notified that the contractor has been counseled and is updated regarding all actions required to resolve the situation. The recruiter will handle issues that are not resolved once the client gives direction. In any case, the agency will begin a preliminary search for a replacement contractor in the event replacement is required.
How do you pre-screen your candidates? (Top)
Candidates are interviewed and resumes submitted to recruiters. Candidates are expected to meet or exceed all customer service and patient care requirements for each facility. All work experience, education and references are verified. Candidates fill out a skills checklist and will be given a criminal background check before they are hired. We perform:
  • Social Security Verification
  • Criminal Search
  • Government suspect list
  • Professional disciplinary research
  • Violent sexual offender and predatory research
  • Hospitals are given the opportunity to interview candidates.
  • All medical records are completed and submitted:
    • PPD/Chest xray
    • MMR/Varicella
    • Hepatitis B
  • All other requirements deemed necessary by the facility will be provided.
Do you perform background checks? (Top)
Yes. We run background checks on all contract individuals and will be happy to provide you with a copy of the report.
Do you provide all-inclusive rates? (Top)

We provide two types of contracts: all-inclusive or non-inclusive (broken down). Let us know which one you prefer.
